Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT:

So, reading some of the other threads a suggestion was made to 'enable the "Disable Application Hooks" option in the Settings > Advance Settings window. This seems to have fixed the issue I've had, TY Mr. Lammers.

ended up re enabling the general application hooks and disabling just the one for Kodi in the compatibility section that I overlooked initially. ]]>
