Thanks for the link Pete. The difficult thing about supporting virtual desktop programs in DisplayFusion is that they all handle the wallpaper issue differently. Some, like "DeskSpace" want to use something like a skybox/cube style wallpaper. Others handle it internally themselves and don't allow 3rd party programs to switch it. It's a tricky issue, and one that probably won't be handled in DisplayFusion. If this VDM program works with DisplayFusion I would recommend it, if not, then I'm not sure what to do.

Ok, I've investigated this quite a bit and I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that MSVDM forces the windows desktop to change every time you switch to a new virtual desktop. The good news is that if you have DisplayFusion Pro (the paid version) it will automatically change the image back again to the DisplayFusion wallpaper. There is a bit of lag between this (a few seconds) so it's not a perfect solution, but it's unfortunately the best I can do. DisplayFusion v2.3 gets rid of the annoying "Wallpaper automatically fixed" message, which would benefit you in this situation. I would suggest that you get a DisplayFusion Pro trial license and see if it works like you want it to. Thanks for being patient, sorry it took so long.

I'm having some problems when I try to use the Windows Virtual Desktop Manager (?) (MSVDM). If I stay on the initial desktop, no problems, but when I switch to a secondary desktop the screen splits into two backgrounds. I use two monitors, both 1920 x 1200, two different pics stretched. But when switching to a different desktop, my primary screen divides into two, a left side and right side, and the backgrounds from both monitors are displayed (compressed to fit). The left half is my other monitor and the right is my primary monitor pic. If I adjust the secondary desktop with Display Fusion, it is ok but only as long as I don't go to another desktop. Once I change the desktop, the problem happens again. I am using WinXP Pro SP 3, 4 gigs system mem, GeForce 7600 GS video card.
Other than not using the MSVDM, is there any suggestions to fixing this so that the background remains static on my primary display, regardless of what desktop I choose to use?
Thanx ))
PS using 2.2.1 DF. ))
PPS The screen changes to split backgrounds on both monitors but when using DF I can apply the individual desktops as long as I don't change from the defaulted desktop on my primary. Sorry for the addition. )) Happy Holidays by the by. ))
