The problem seems to be Windows tray notification cache.
I cleared it via CCleaner and the problem is gone. Can you double-check that it's not just in the tray overflow area? (the little arrow, next to the tray icons on the taskbar)

PC is Win 7 64 bit.
For the past week the systray icon for DF has not appeared.
All 4 DF programmes are running, Win7 has DF Taskbar Icon & Notifications active.
If I run DF from the Start/Programs menu, up comes the icon.
I can't see any option for enabling/disabling the icon.
Any ideas ? ]]>
