I found the version I exported and although something was happening (the wallpaper was reset momentarily) and I received a "successful" message, no changes were pulled through.

Now all of a sudden windows is dropping the monitor config (i.e. under display settings) as well - this never happened before. So I am having to spend 20 minutes every day setting up the windows config then reapplying all the splits in DispFusion. Then dragging all the windows back into place. On top of this usually the taskbars have changed setting. Like I said before the save profiles don't work (see previous) which would save all the bother, and the trigger set up to restore window locations before the monitors go to sleep only works some of the time, and never when another user has logged on - resulting in a LOT of manual dragging (I have around 20 windows open across 5 monitors with several splits applied).

Could you give this a go?

When the Monitor Profile is working, export your DisplayFusion Settings (Settings > Options >
Export Settings).
The next time you load the profile and the monitor IDs get messed up, try restoring the Settings, then try loading the profile again. Does it work, or is it messed up again?

Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
Paste the text into a text file (please don't paste the text directly into your reply, the formatting gets garbled and makes it difficult to parse)
Reply with the file attached

Any update on this? I have two monitor profiles: one with both monitors in landscape and the other with one in landscape and one in portrait. I have those profiles set to hotkeys but every time I switch back the one in portrait defaults back to landscape. I never have any issues switching back from the portrait setup to landscape but from landscape to portrait never works. Any help with this?

However the key issue is:

I am unable to load the saved profile as it is getting the monitors in the wrong sequence. Therefore the portrait monitor appears sideways on one of the landscape monitors. i.e. monitors 1-5 are not in the same order as when they were saved.

This means I have to manually setup the monitors and splits every time the computer restarts.

It would then leave your monitors powered on all day, but I'm wondering if you could try it just as a test.

When coming out of sleep mode they all switch on and are in the same forrmation; however they have usually dropped the splits and lost track of their applications, i.e. these have moved to another monitor probably dictated by order in which they entered sleep mode. Note the only monitor that doesn't lose it's splits is the portrait (flipped) monitor which is designated as main.

How do I remove sleep mode, and is this feasible i.e. would this mean having to leave all 5 monitors on all day? It has certainly happened the PC goes to sleep (i.e. after 1 hour of inactivity) and when I have put it to sleep. I am pretty sure sometimes it happens when I have been in lock mode.

Can you remind me what the alternative is to windows monitor sleep, as I like to turn them to sleep mode at night. i.e. is there a DispFus override?

When the PC is shut down it always happens on restart. Also almost all of the applications get sucked across to the portrait monitor.

I have 5 monitors (all identical and with same resolution) with 1 set up as portrait (flipped) and the other 4 landscape. The portrait (flipped) is the primary monitor and sits to the side of the others which are set up in a square formation. I have several screen splits applied to these monitors. The issues I am experiencing are:

1. When I log out and the screens go to standby Display Fusion is not retaining all the saved monitor settings - just the primary portrait monitor (i.e. not the 4 landscape monitors). This results in all the splits being lost from these monitors.

2. When I then attempt to load the saved profile it restores the monitors with the splits but in the wrong sequence. i.e. monitors 1-5 are not in the right order so the one that was the primary portrait monitor is now sitting sideways on one of the landsacpe monitors and vice versa etc. This situation can not be resolved as there is no way to reassign the monitor numbers.

3. (less important) the applications move in standby mode often with 2 of the monitors being left blank and the applications seemingly randomly moving to other monitors. With around 20 windows open this results in a lot of manual work moving them back. I know this could be an issue with the windows process but would be interested in understanding anything I can do to prevent this happening.

I am hoping you can offer a solution as all of this is resulting in a lot of work effectively buidling a new profile every time! I will send the log shortly if this helps.

It looks like it's saved correctly in the settings for the "Office Seiki & Samsung" profile, so for some reason it's just failing to apply it. Could you send me a debug log that's captured while switching from the "Basement" profile to the "Office Seiki & Samsung" profile?

On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
Restart DisplayFusion
Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
Disable debug logging after sending the log
