I just realized this feature is actually already available in DF. It can be accessed by:

• Going to DF settings;
• Clicking on "Monitoring Fading" in the left-hand column; then
• In the drop-down list titled "Monitor Fading Mode", select "Fade everything except current window"

As you'll likely notice, this was a previously requested feature a few years ago. As we now have a "dim monitor" feature, I'm wondering whether we have an ability to now dim all windows that are inactive? I've found a utility called "Le Dimmer" (freeware) that is exclusively for this purpose, but it would be far preferable if this ability could be done through DF.

Is there a script possibly for this?

In any case, every few months I trawl the web in hopes of finding a tool a that offers this.

This time I found LeDimmer (https://sites.google.com/site/llemarie/ledimmer), which is 50% perfect. It's only 50% perfect because it only works on one of my monitors.

I found a few others, but they are all rubbish.

So I still hope that the clever guys at DisplayFusion can piece something together. LeDimmer is a good example of the effect.

I know some applications can make inactive windows transparent. I guess they are leveraging a windows feature to be able to do that.
