Unfortunately only maximized windows will show the split overlays when dragged. Can that application be resized? If so, it's possible to create a Custom Function to do what you're looking for. Let me know if you're able to resize that window and then I'll send over an example of a Custom Function that will come in handy there.

To specify which split an application should open in when launched, you can use Trigger rules. I've attached a screenshot for reference.

Hope that helps!

Hi,

I am currently trying DisplayFusion but there are some things I don't understand.

Example: I am working with a program which uses a second window which can't be maximized and has no buttons on it's topbar. Is there a way to setup DisplayFusion to snap a window to a tile without beeing first maximized? On all windows I always have to maximize the windows before I can see the tile overlay. And they don't snap if they are not maximized first.

I was using LG's OnScreen Control where I can just drag windows inside a certain area and they maximize into their area.

Additional question. I have several programs with 2 or more windows. I would like to setup their positions to a value or tile, everytime I open those apps. Is this possible with DisplayFusion? Example: email app should open on second windows virtual desktop in the middle tile.
