I have 2 screens the left in landscape orientation (main) and the right in portrait orientation.

I've had trouble because win 10 keeps moving windows from the right screen back to the left screen on screen power save and on compure sleep and wake. In some cases they get scaled down to some size less than 1024 width and around 685 or so in height and move to the top left corner of the screen.

So I bought Display Fusion a while ago having read information that it could help.

I initially setup the periodic saving of window positions then the restore on unlock as descrived on this site. This works fine for auto locking of the screen and power saving and then unlock after that.

But for me putting machine to sleep then waking up it usually wont restore window positions to the right hand monitor.

I've read through a lot of discussions on this site and none have directly helped but they suggested the following tests I did.

What I've done as part of reading those threads is create hotkey1 to capture window positions and hotkey2 to restore window positions. Then disable the triggers that save and restore window positions so the only thing saving and restore window positions are my 2 hotkeys.

Now to explain the scenario I have observed.

If I save window postions and the put my machine to sleep, then wake it up again a short time later say < 10 minutes, I can restore window positions using hotkey2 and all windows restore to the monitors correctly.

The problem seems to occur if the machine gets woken up after a longer time. My most recent test I saved positions hotkey1 then put the mchine to sleep then 3 hours later when I came back I woke up the machine and tried to restore the windows with hotkey2, they didnt move from where they had all gathered on the left monitor, as if I had never run hotkey2. I tried running hotkey2 a few times over a minute or to but no change.

It seems if the machine is asleep longer than some period the restore windows does not seem to work. I tried the monitor configuration after wake up and it reports the right Default monitor configuration I created a while ago so it seem fusion has redetected things correctly.

Thanks for any suggestions.
I am truely unimpressed with how badly windows 10 handles multi monitor scenarios....
