Stopped current version 3.1.1, deleted the regkey, downloaded & installed v3.1.2 & restarted DF, and ... it did the job perfectly! Yeah, I saw that in the troubleshooting too.
The bmp was generated in c:\temp which is where I set the reg key to point too
Well, I can join bobjbain's dance... It worked for me as well, like a charm.
All I did after adding the path in my Registry (because it was missing like with bobjbain) was stopping DF and restarting it.

I also added a copy of the troubleshooting contebnts to this msg.

Thanks,
Hi,

Sorry for my late reply. I only use this tool on my office PC, so checks & updates only happen during office hours ...

What version of Windows are you using? -- using Win XP Pro SP 3
Try applying wallpaper in DF with the "Adjust wallpaper for use with Active Desktop" setting checked? -- tried it & didn't saw any difference. All I keep seeing is the same blue backgrd as before (and specified) in Display Props' Appearance tab.

Also, as tpheasant specified Yesterday at 12:09:09 pm, as long as the windows logo is on the screen while the pc is booting, the images show properly. Once the PC has started logging in the images go away.

I attached the contents of the Troubleshooting tab as of this morning.

I just tried to use the new update provided Yesterday at 07:02:41 pm, and I have to admit it failed doing what it was supposed to do (solve this issue?). The problem remains the same

This is what I did:
I renamed the original DisplayFusion.exe to DisplayFusion_old.exe, copied the reworked DisplayFusion.exe into the install folder and restarted the program. To no avail so it seemed ...

Any other ideas always welcome.

Thanks,
Obi

Im having a very similar issue. Running fine in 3.0.6 with one image on the left monitor and a different image on the right monitor. upgraded to 3.1.1 and now I only have a color on each monitor, no image on either one. I am running Windows XP SP3. I can change the background color on my display properties and that is what color appears on both monitors. Oddly enough, while the windows logo is upon the screen while the pc is fully booting, the images show properly. Once the pc fully boots the images go away. I tried to click on Adjust background for use with Active Desktop as suggested in earlier post and it didnt help, and didnt seem to stay checked when I go back to it either. Desktop in display properties states background is 'displayFusionWallpaper_1' and is a bmp. Any help would be appreciated (or a link to get 3.0.6). thanks!

Also the background colour is the one that has been set in the Desktop Applet under the Appearance-Advanced settings. Change your Desktop colour and see what happens.

I've even tried getting a Pro Trial license to see if that resolves the issue and it doesn't.
