Looked in Process Explorer and noticed that DF was using quite a bit of memory and about 25% CPU (it was fighting with another process that I hadn't seen conflicting with DF before- a 'gaming mouse''s configuration & control program).

I'm attaching 2 images so you can see the insanity. :)

DF was still responding, but it was pretty laggy. It took ~30 seconds or so to bring up the DF menu. Likely because everything was swapped out to disk. :) ]]>
