You're correct about the "virtual" Surround display not being available when it's been disabled. We're hoping to find a way in the future to toggle it via the NVIDIA Control Panel API though

In the meantime, it is possible to setup a hotkey in the NVIDIA Control Panel for toggling Surround on and off. If you set that up, you should be able to just press the hotkey when you want to switch back to Surround mode.

Hope that helps!

So I have 3 monitors set up as a single display using nvidia surround and a projector. I like to turn off the monitors when using the projector. My profile that switches to just projector works fine, but when I try to switch back I get an error. I'm guessing that nvidia doesn't register the virtual monitor when it's not enabled so displayfusion might not be able to overcome this, it would be nice if there's a workaround though!
Thanks.
