eg.

* Window + Shift + Left (to move to left monitor).
* Window + Right (to move to right split)

I then need to do:

* Window + Up (move to top half)
* Window + Up (move back to full height)

Unfortunately no, it turns out its a biproduct of using a display port for me. When the monitor turns off it 'disconnects' the monitor from the PC, and DF freaks out. When the monitor turns back on it reconnects, but the DF config gets the sizing skewed. Closing DF and reopening it resolves the issue. Some are, some aren't. So here's an interesting update. Now even after I close DF and open it again, the shading that shows which VM to use (1.1 or 1.2) doesn't show up any more, and its doing the task bar issue constantly..

Hi Keith, so I have both of those items disabled from the git-go.

One thing I just noticed, its starting to do it again, and when I move a window to the left or right side, it no longer shows 1:1 or 1:2 either, and now its stretching past the task bar. It's as if DF just half stops working.

I closed and reopened DF and it doesn't show the window IDs and still stretches past the task bar.

Also something I just noticed. If I use the Windows method to size and place the window properly, it appears that DF thinks the maximize button isn't "maximized". What I mean by this is, if I hit the maximize button, the position stays, but it extends the window height under the task bar. The only way to get it sized back properly is move the window to either side of the screen and have Windows management resize (and thus asking what should be on the right side of the window) or use SHIFT maximize to expand across both screens, in which case is then its sized properly above the task bar.

If I disable DF and test this, the task bar never appears over the application like it does when DF is on.

When I enable DF again, the issue occurs.

Also another note, if i enable 'Use these features with split monitors' and enable Taskbars, the issue goes away however now I have two identical task bars (that I don't really need...). No problem! Pretty much intermittently. Correct. When you drag the window into the DF monitor and the split ID appears, let go of the mouse, it maximizes past the taskbar to extend the entire vertical height of the screen. Not height minus task bar ALWAYS ON TOP pixel height.

I have a Win10 machine, single 1440p Ultrawide Monitor (Dell Alienware) using DisplayFusion Pro 9.3 and a 50/50 vertical split (1720x1440 x2). More often than I'd like, when I drag a window to a certain side of the screen (1:1 or 1:2) and the window auto maximizes, the window stretches longer and under the task bar. My task bar is set as always on top, yet the only way to fix it is to drag the window to the far right (or left) and allow the built in Windows management to catch it and maximize it, and ask what window I want on the opposite side.

This is more of a nuisance than a failure, but it gets frustrating when I need to see a status bar or a downloads bar that is covered by the task bar :).

I've tried searching but using "taskbar on top" comes back with a ton of various threads but mostly for full screen games, borderless windows, etc.

I attached screenshots and a troubleshooting output file.
