Just a quick update. In the latest 4.1 Beta versions we've added the ability to assign a Desktop Icon Profile to a Monitor Profile. So, if you save your Monitor Configuration as a Monitor Profile, then assign a Desktop Icon Profile to it, the Desktop Icon Profile will be automatically loaded when the Monitor Profile is detected on startup.
Thanks!

Yeah this is unfortunately a weird issue with Windows, or perhaps the graphics driver. For some reason on certain systems, whenever the work area changes (with DisplayFusion, the work area changes when the taskbar is added or removed), the icons also shift position. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about that, but we will certainly consider adding the capability to specify a default Desktop Icon Profile that would be loaded automatically when DisplayFusion starts.

Thanks!

I also encounter some similar problem which is, I believe, related to your graphics driver.

While DisplayFusion is not running, my AMD driver doesn't allow me to drop desktop shortcuts right above the taskbar, where for example my bin and a few more shortcuts are located. It's like there is a magic wall and the grid ends too soon. So my guess is DF extends the windows grid which forces the icons to move inside the grid.

You could save up your desktop icons in a profile an load it after DF starts. I'm actually not sure if DF automatically loads a (default) profile, if not, it would be cool to see a feature like this to prevent weird icon moving everytime DF starts.
