Yup, you can create a window created function, and select the application you would like it to fire off of.

If you have splits on your monitor, then you will have to specify the split the window is on. Make sure to use 0 instead of a decimal when specifying the split (Ex. 301, instead of 3.1).

Did that but it doesn't seem to work. If my monitors uses slices, do I need to specify each the target and source slice instead of just monitor number? We have this as a scripted function you can download called "If window opens on monitor 3, move it to monitor 1". You can update the monitor ID's and then run it through a window created trigger rule to only fire for specific applications.

Is there a way to limit the trigger to only react to new windows that open on the laptop screen? Basically, I don't want any new windows to appear on the laptop screen.

The problem is that if a new window appears on the monitor, it will usually go back to its previous location, which is fine. But then the trigger reacts to all new windows and then move it to a difference slice on the same monitor.

Maybe set the action to a function that will only move the window if the window is on a specific monitor? ]]>
