They actually disconnect from the system when powered off, so powering them back on will definitely cause a bit of flicker as the system detects the monitors, but it definitely shouldn't last for more than 60 seconds. Leave machine running
Power screens on again
Displays flicker, unable to access any application or even the start menu for 3 to 4 minutes

Seeking guidance beyond just leaving the monitors powered on all the time.
