It sounds like you've got a VGA splitter, which can't make the computer see two different monitors, or combine them into one. However, there are a couple of options that you can use instead:

A USB display adapter, examples here: http://www.displaylink.com/shop/adapters

A DisplayPort to DVI adapter, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-DisplayPort-Video-Adapter-Converter/dp/B0017K6BD2

Hope that helps!

Hi all,
I just had to get a new computer and I'm trying to get up to speed quickly. I''m not a tech geek - well, a low grade one anyway. I've used DF for years but I'm having trouble getting my dual monitors to display as a single display. If anyone can tell me what step I'm missing, I'd appreciate it. I can fine tune later.

MY QUESTION: Can I use this setup and Display Fusion and have dual monitors function as one?

I've got Win7 Pro. D-Sub/VGA monitors to D-Sub/VGA Optiplex 3020 Micro. The monitors are attached to a SIIG something (sorry, I don't know what it is, two D-Sub/VGA plugs in and it plugs a D-Sub/VGA into the computer's single port. No conversion, just takes two signals down to one.) It is currently displaying as two identical side-by-side monitors.

And for bonus points: If this won't work, can you tell me what I do need? My monitors, as mentioned have D-Sub/VGA. One of them also has a DVI-D (I don't need audio). The computer has a single DisplayPort and a single D-Sub/VGA. I do accounting. No gaming, no high grade graphics. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!
