there is a setting that disables wall papers so less data has to be transmitted speeding up the link and after that session the screens never went back from being black...

If there is, try renaming it to “WallpaperOLD” and then try setting the wallpaper again.

So I manage my wallpapers through display fusion (Pro) and have recently had a problem. I can no longer set my desktop background through display fusion OR through windows... I just have a black background. I checked a few things and tried deleting the transcoded wallpaper file in appdata but that did not help.

I am thinking of holding of and doing a fresh install when windows 10 comes out... but I would still like something more interesting than black till then so any help is appreciated

(I know this is probably a windows issue but as I manage my wallpaper through display fusion so I thought I would try my luck here) ]]>
