However, if there is a full-screen application detected than DisplayFusion will switch to a more "passive" state, which would allow the "Show Desktop" button to hide it. The next time it happens can you post the information from the "Troubleshooting" tab in DisplayFusion? It should indicate whether DisplayFusion thinks a full-screen app is running.
