- I have two "ThinkVision" monitors connected to a cheap HP desktop. I have windows 10.

I have had dual monitors running extended for about a year no problems. 2 days ago I used the computer last, this morning I hop on and my [1] monitor is black and not used [2] monitor was being used but the screen was hella zoomed in.

I fixed the display settings, and shut off monitor [1] upon reboot it worked again however is only showing what monitor [2] is doing. like a duplicate screen.

I have tried the following solutions:

un pluging the cables even power to monitors 1 and 2

rebooting the PC

shutting down and waiting and trying again.

Device manager - display (detect devices) or monitors or what ever it says = this resulted in a lot of frustration as it tells me nothing is detected.

I then attempted to update the drivers - it said it already has the most up to date drivers.

I then did a MASSIVE update to windows I didn't know I needed. after 4 hours that did not fix it either.

I then attempted to uninstall the drivers and re install. that failed as well.

I am at my wits end with this right now...

please help.

I am not sure if I will remember how to get here so if it does not notify me please email me at
