If it's just a passive splitter, the video card doesn't even know that there are two monitors connected. In order to use two or three separate monitors off the same output, you'd need something like this: http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/th2go/digital/

Alternatively, you could just use a USB display adapter to drive the third display. They're pretty cheap and can be found at any local computer shop.

Hope that helps!

I apologize if this question has already been answered in the forum. I did a search and couldn't find a specific solution.

I'm running three Samsung SyncMaster monitors under Windows 8 with a GeForce GTS250 graphics card. One monitor is connected with a VGA cable. The other two are working from a splitter attached to the graphics card's DVI port.

The system is not seeing both of the monitors attached to the DVI port. The displays are duplicated on these two monitors. I do have the display expanded onto the VGA cable monitor.

I have tried configuring the monitors in both Windows and in DisplayFusion Pro (v 6.12, registered). I can't find a way to have the computer "see" the third monitor. How do I enable the third monitor, so I am expanding my desktop over the three displays?

I'm attaching a screenshot of my DisplayFusion monitor configuration window.
