Yup, that's the best way to do it! If you would like to take it a step further, you can create a trigger to change the monitor profile automatically when your process starts (to disable the monitor) and another trigger to change back monitor profiles when the process ends (to re-enable the monitor).

I have a setup with four monitors. One of those monitors is 1080p and oriented vertically. It's to the right of my primary 4K monitor. When I open games in HyperSpin, which is a frontend for emulators and PC games, the emulators open on both the 4K display and the vertical display. The emulator then runs in the background.

I looked the issue up and according to GOG support, there are games that detect the entire resolution of the workspace, causing problems in multi-monitor setups. They recommend temporarily disabling secondary monitors when playing offending games.

I would like for my vertical monitor to be disabled when opening HyperSpin and then reenabled when exiting HyperSpin. Is there any way for me to automate that using DisplayFusion? Thank you!

Edit: I've created two monitor profiles, my default profile and a profile with the vertical monitor disabled. I've also created hotkeys to switch between them. If nothing like what I've described exists in DisplayFusion, then switching between monitor profiles with hotkeys is the next best thing. ]]>
