Hey thanks Keith. I appreciate the quick response, I know it took some time to write that up.

I'm on my work machine right now which is Win7. Do you know if osk.exe is the 'On-Screen keyboard', or the 'touch keyboard' that comes with Windows 10? (looking at the name I can guess the answer but with MS you never know). The On-Screen keyboard is OK, but my preference would be the touch one (which from what I can tell can only be launched from the built in taskbar button in Win10).

I must have spaced w/ respect to the steam controller business. That's a work in progress of it's own, hopefully they can flesh it out and get us some quality of life improvements in the near future. The DPI issue sorted itself after I changed my primary display again. I'd like to come up with a solution that will allow me to never alter my primary display choice. If I come across steps to reproduce I will report back.

Thanks again!
Dylan

Thanks for purchasing DisplayFusion, sorry to hear that you're running into trouble!

The font thing looks like the Windows scaling level changed at some point (probably automatically for whatever reason) but Windows is still reporting the old scaling level to DPI-aware apps like DisplayFusion. A reboot usually fixes this up, but if not, please let me know.

The Steam on-screen-keyboard issue isn't related to DisplayFusion. I've tested it out myself, and it looks like Steam locks it to the primary monitor. This happens even without DisplayFusion running. I tried to force it to move to the other monitor, but it's ignoring the SetWindowPos commands that DF sends to it.

There's no built-in shortcut for the Windows OSK on the DF taskbar, but you can add one by doing the following:

Right-click the DF taskbar, navigate to Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Shortcuts > Edit Shortcuts

Click "Add Application"

Browse to the Windows OSK executable (c:\windows\system32\osk.exe) and save the shortcut

I've attached a screenshot of the shortcut settings for reference

Note that since the Steam Controller software runs through Steam itself, you'll need to run Steam as administrator in order for the controller to interact with DF and the Windows OSK, because they run at a higher Integrity level than Steam normally does

Hope that helps! I realize there's a bit of technical jargon above, so if anything isn't clear, definitely let me know

I've recently purchased DisplayFusion from Steam and so far my experience has been less than ideal. I am using Windows 10 and everything about it feels bolted on. I understand there will be some growing pains with a newish platform and I can be patient but the last issue I have run into is pushing me close to my limit.

I have attached a screenshot from my 1080p display as well as a copy of my troubleshooting log. The fonts are only barely readable. When I first installed, only the clocks were impossibly small which I 'fixed' by increasing the width of my task bar slightly. Now I can't remember where that setting was, let alone read the labels in order to properly navigate there. If only I could click and drag to size them like the straight-out-the-box taskbars. But that doesn't really have anything to do with the entire application going to 2pt fonts all of a sudden I don't imagine.

Another annoyance I might as well mention is how DisplayFusion is handling either of my on-screen keyboard options. I use a Steam controller when viewing content on my 43" 4k display from a distance. If I try to launch the Steam keyboard, it appears on my normal primary display, the 1080p (which is typically turned off in this use-case). So that's out. The Win10 included 'touch keyboard' is my second choice (not to be confused w/ the On-Screen keyboard), but sadly I don't have access to the button to launch it because that is only on my primary displays taskbar and I have not found a way to pin this to my Start menu. Basically, every time I use my TV, I have to change it to be the primary display. Kind of defeats the purpose of using DisplayFusion.

Are these issues on your radar already?
