No, The registry edit makes your windows cycle. See the video I attached for proof. If you have 5 IE tabs or 5 explorer windows and you click on the stacked super taskbar button for those windows, it will cycle through all of them with this registry edit.

The change of the left click function is a registry tweak. I dont know if off the top of my head, but it was one of the first changes I made when I loaded windows 7.

This program can change the registry setting for you:
http://www.intowindows.com/tweak-windows-7-taskbar-with-7-taskbar-tweaker/

Ah, I found it. Here is the registry change needed in order to click on a stack of programs and cycle through them:

Quote:
Change Taskbar Button Stacked Window BehaviorBy default, the Taskbar groups together multiple windows of a single app, then displays all of them as thumbnails when you click on the program’s Taskbar icon. If you think it would be more handy to have Windows automatically open the last window when you click the icon, you can make that happen.

1. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindows
CurrentVersionExplorerAdvanced.
2. Right-click in the right pane, and select “New” then “DWORD (32-bit) Value.”
3. Rename the new DWORD value “LastActiveClick.”
4. Double-click on LastActiveClick to open it.
5. Change the value in the “Value data” field to 1.
6. Click OK.

Hope this helps.

One is just something that I just noticed is missing. On the main toolbar, there's a faint border around the preview of the actively selected window. That's missing from the secondary toolbar.

The second thing is a feature request. I'd like to be able to click on a grouped taskbar button and have it cycle through the windows. It's a feature that some apps enable in the main toolbar. The previews still appear if you hover over the icon, but clicking on it will start cycling through the different windows. If one of the windows in the group is currently selected, it will give focus to the next one. It's incredibly useful if you want to pop through a bunch of windows.
