At the moment it's a side effect of how we had to implement the drag and drop on to the taskbar buttons. Whereas dragging them onto the main primary taskbar will allow me to drop them into the application

Just turn off the "Focus window when mouse is dragged over Taskbar button" option on the Taskbar tab in the DisplayFusion settings.

It is extremely annoying when trying to select a selection of text in notepad or draw a shape in paint for example.
This behaviour should only occur when files and/or folders are dragged onto a taskbar button, in which case it is desired as the user is trying to drop the files and/or folders into the application that the taskbar button represents. ]]>
