I would guess that it's either a Windows issue, or some other program on your machine that's causing this to happen. Unfortunately I wouldn't know where to go from here for troubleshooting as I've never run into this myself :(

I'll be working with a couple of windows open, and then when I want to switch to another window I notice that it's no longer aligned to the top, but a few pixels down.
I'm not sure whether it happens when I go to another window, or during the working with another window, or when I go to the window. It's just that I notice it mostly when I want to switch to another window.

It fairly consistently happens with the Waterfox and the XYplorer windows. Interestingly enough, it has NEVER happened with the Outlook window.

I have a multi-monitor layout. See screenshot. The monitors have different resolution (the clocks are in the left lower corners of both monitors).

Edit:
Ok, now I literally saw it happen:
1. XYplorer window was open, but did not have the focus.
2. Waterfox window was open, and had the focus.
3. I switched to XYplorer window by clicking the title-bar of the XYplorer window.
4. I see XYplorer window jump a few pixels down, and Waterfox stays focussed!

So, strange things are happening. I realise it seems like a small problem, but my 'OCD' causes me to be driven absolutely NUTS!

I have every window snapped in position to the top and bottom of the screen. But, since a few months now DF regularly keeps a small gap between the window and the top of the screen (maybe 4 pixels or so?).
Either DF prioritizes bottom snapping over top snapping (please don't! or make it an option!), or there is a bug.

Now, mind you. This occurs also AFTER Windows has started up! I sometimes see the window 'jump' a few pixels down.

Edit:
It just happened again with a window (it moved to exactly 2 pixels from the top). It may have to do with the z-order of the windows. Maybe it happens when I switch from one window to another.
I regularly use ALT+TAB to switch and also use WIN+1, WIN+2, etc. ]]>
