It seems like they were trying to fix an issue for some users where the taskbar entry was extremely large. But this "fix" looks to be a bit too heavy handed. Though the name MinWidth implies that it's not the max width that DF should display? I have Explorer Patcher and Start11 which both modify the task bar in some manner or another.

To determine the cause of things, I uninstalled Explorer Patcher and disabled the Start11 service and rebooted. The text was still missing, so I figured they were unrelated.

However, this is before I found out about the reg key that triggers the issue. Do you suppose one of these programs is setting the reg key at some point?

EDIT: I am currently using a scheduled task to delete the key before DF starts and it solves the problem for me... but I thought I would report it anyways. Deleting a registry key with the following .reg file and restarting DF fixes the issue:

But rebooting restores the deleted key.
I don't know if you want to somehow ignore this key? I don't know how or why DF is affected by it.
