You will want to have that window management box enabled. This will allow it to full screen to the split when maximizing.

If you have that box enabled, does the issue still persist when dragging a browser to the top of a split?

If I turn off "Window Management" then a double click into the title bar of a window will make that window full size over the whole monitor. That's not what it should do. It should only full size to the current zone. When you say zone, are you referring to monitor splits? If so, can you open up the monitor configuration window, and make sure "Window Management" is checked off under the split section?

when I want to drag a single browser tab to the top end of another zone to get it full sized there it does not work. The single browser tab will be placed on the inital zone and not full sized.
