I've been using DF for 4 months now and very impressed - not sure how I managed without it before! I hope you don't mind me creating a bunch of discussions but from what I can see in the search, there hasn't been a request exactly like this.

My preferred taskbar settings is small icons, with text, and combine into stacks only when the taskbar is full. Now as you probably know, even when related taskbar items are not stacked, they are always kept 'grouped' as a bunch, with no gaps between, and when you move any of them along the taskbar, the entire bunch follows. This is shown in the WindowsTaskbar attachment.

DF knows when to hide a taskbar shortcut when the program is running, but doesn't seem to recognize when multiple windows of the same program are open. This means they do not get bunched together, and if you open a new window, it will always get placed on the very end of the DF taskbar, even if the shortcut is at the beginning. The user then has to manually move the orphaned taskbar item to group it with its siblings, and even then, there is no subtle gapless grouping, as shown in the DFTaskbar attachment.

Implementing the proper grouping of new windows as an option would be a major boost to my productivity, and the UI cue for related windows would also be very much welcomed.
