Not sure why I didn't think to try this earlier. <br/>
This is a laptop, so I used the hardware keys to cycle through the monitor configurations. This is what I did.<br/>
<br/>
1) shut down DisplayFusion.<br/>
2) Use hardware Fn+F4 (in my case) to cycle through to the configuration with the laptop display as primary. <br/>
3) check windows display manager. Re-enable extended display if needed. <br/>
4) Restart DIsplayFusion and check configuration. <br/>
<br/>
Hope this helps someone else that might run into this.

I have DF installed on my laptop where I use a multi-monitor though a docking station. This is a work laptop HP EliteBook 8470p running Windows XP. <br/>
<br/>
Today I had to run to a meeting so I pulled my laptop off the station while it was turned on. I went to my meeting and came back and put my laptop back in to the dock. Now DisplayFusion recognizes my auxiliary monitor but now as primary and my laptop display as a secondary. I cannot change it back. I can select the laptop display and set it as primary but when I select OK or APPLY I get the error:<br/>
<br/>
<div id="" class="col-md-12 BoxWrap"><div class="Box table-responsive"><a name="code" style="width:0; height:0;"></a><h2 class="TableTitle" style="border:0"><div class="TableTitleText">Code</div><div class="TitleButtons"><div class="TableTitleButton"><a href="#" onclick="return false;" data-clipboard-target="#code019d81fbdde57092bf74ee1ed7054e09" class="ClipboardCopyControl"><img src="https://www.displayfusion.com/MediaCommon/SVGs/FontAwesome/clone.blue.svg" style="box-sizing:border-box;position:relative;overflow:hidden;vertical-align:middle !important;width:auto;max-width:16px;height:16px;" /><span class="Text">Copy</span></a></div><div class="TableTitleButton"><a href="#" onclick="bfs.util.codeEditorSelectAll('code019d81fbdde57092bf74ee1ed7054e09Js'); return false;"><img src="https://www.displayfusion.com/MediaCommon/SVGs/FontAwesome/square-check.blue.svg" style="box-sizing:border-box;position:relative;overflow:hidden;vertical-align:middle !important;width:auto;max-width:16px;height:16px;" /><span class="Text">Select All</span></a></div></div></h2><div class="TableTitleContent table-responsive"><div class="AceEditorWrapper" style="border-top:solid 1px var(--color-default-border);padding:0"><pre id="code019d81fbdde57092bf74ee1ed7054e09Js" contenteditable="true" spellcheck="true" class="skiptranslate" style="width:100%; min-height:75px;">An error has occurred while applying your new Monitor configuration.
Please check your settings and try again.

</div></div></div><br/>
<br/>
I have tried rebooting and removing and replacing from the docking station. If I shutdown my laptop and restart with nothing connected the laptop screen is set as primary (being there is only one). If I pop it back on the dock it immediately switches to the auxiliary monitor as primary and the laptop locked as secondary. And it does not matter if I reboot while attached to the dock. <br/>
<br/>
Will DF always get confused like this when I take my laptop off the dock? The native windows display manager never has had this issue.
