I am running into an issue with VMWare Workstation 10 and Displayfusion 6.x when trying to switch my Guest VM to use multiple monitors. I can usually make it switch to 2 monitors, ONCE in a blue moon it may switch to 3, but usually fails (suggesting I reboot).

The issue seems to be with Displayfusion. It will fail almost 90% of the time on my system. It worked previously with VMWare Workstation 9 and Displayfusion 5. So I don't know which one broke it. Currently, it will fail to switch to all monitors about 80% of the time. Once it fails, retrying won't make it work.

That said, the workaround is to shutdown Displayfusion. Even after VMWare is running, and the VM is up, or even after a fail, at any point I can shutdown Displayfusion, switch it to 3 screens, then re-launch Displayfusion and everything is just fine. It's ok for a workaround, but really annoying.

Any suggestions?

My system:
4 Core Intel system, 16 gigs of memory
DisplayFusion 6.1.1
VMWare Workstation 10
HOST: Windows 8.1 Professional x64
Guest: Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64
(both 8.1's with update)
