I replied too quickly to the issue being fixed. Today, upon returning, the second monitor taskbar was missing again. The day before yesterday, I had stayed up until 2am working. So instead of the usual being finished somewhere by 6pm through 9pm and the system sits for 12 or more hours unused, the night before the system only sat unused for 6 hours. Apparently 6 hours is not enough of a time lapse for the issue of the missing taskbar to occur. 12 or more hours is.

I've attached the log from this morning.

I do have an RDP session open. It starts on the second monitor when Windows boots and I move it manually and permanently to the fourth monitor. I came in this morning and the taskbar was there. Your feature change seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you. Excellent software, brilliant support engineer!

I do have another question. In my Windows startup directory I have MS Outlook and the RDP session listed. When Windows boots up, both appear in monitor 2 when started. I believe I set that up in DF a long while ago. I want Outlook to start up in monitor 2, so it's fine as is. But I want the RDP to start up in monitor 4 full screen. I tried with no luck to have DF do this and gave up, thus the manual move to monitor 4 every reboot. All I managed to do is get it to start in monitor 2 in a small window.

How do I tell DF to correctly manage this?

Thanks! Everything looks ok in the Troubleshooting info (aside from the info for the missing taskbar also being missing). The next time this happens, could you also send me the DisplayFusion.log file that can be found by clicking the "Open Log" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab? It's likely too late to send it now, as the logs roll over to prevent them from filling up the drive, so just send it right after the next time this happens
I have the same problem with my second monitor and only on my second monitor. I have four monitors total fed by a PNY NVIDIA NVS 510. I'm currently running DF Pro 8.0 Beta 4 and I've been Pro and upgrading since 5.1.1. The disappearing second monitor taskbar started sometime during version 7 and I've just lived with it. I only now decided to Google the issue to see if there was a fix.

DisplayFusion (DF) works fine all day. I'm running the latest version of Windows 10 Pro. Before that, Windows 8.1 Pro. What happens is I finish for the day and leave my PC. The PC doesn't get turned off and it doesn't sleep. The monitors are set to go to screensaver and lock the PC in one minute. The monitors power down in 20 minutes. The monitors do both more than once during the day. DF manages Windows Mystify screensaver across all four monitors. I have no issues with DF during the day.

When I return in the morning, I wiggle the mouse and the monitors power-up instantly. I log into Windows and everything is as I left it (unless Windows has installed an update and rebooted at 3am) except the taskbar for my second monitor is missing along with the taskbar buttons for any windows open on the second monitor. Monitor three and four have no issue. Except for the taskbar being set to auto hide on monitor four, the three DF taskbars are identical in terms of settings in DF. Monitor one is the default primary Windows monitor.

My daily fix? I exit DF via the notification area and then just run DF again.

I'm hoping there is a fix.
