The wallpaper window has gotten too cluttered so I'm trying to work out how to trim it down. Actually only one button "Save" would have to be added - maybe next
to the OK button.
WPanorama stores the individual image settings in both - the registry
and the program files. (.wpa files) which are the configuration settings.

In a sense DisplayFusion already does that when you click "Apply".
It stores this in the Registry just like WPanorama
The difference is that in addition, WP also writes the info to subkeys
reflecting the individual image settings.

Automatic image sensing is more difficult since it's done on the fly
and has to assume several fine tune settings that are normally done
in the control panel.

I will take a look at WPanorama and see how they do it, but it may not be practical to easily include this feature. I'll let you know what I find out.

My answer is no substitute for the "Captain's" anwer
but it makes perfect sense to me.
What is required in this case is a Save Image Parameters button.
So for each image there will be a specific setting until changed.
I compare it to what WPanorama uses

when saving parameters it stores a .wpa file for the particular image.
On the other hand - automatic detection will work but may give unexpected results because of all the parameters involved.
I feel that a saved parameter file may be more reliable.
I stand corrected if I'm wrong on that.

For example, my resolution is 1280 x 1024 and I have wallpapers that are both 1280 x 1024 (appropriate to the "I want to use a different background for each Monitor" option) as well as wallpapers that are 2560 x 1024 (appropriate to the "I want the background to span the entire Desktop" option). As is currently stands, the program only works on one mode at a time. By that I mean you have to manually change to the other mode. Is there a way where you could randomly switch between modes as it is appropriate, based on the image resolution.
