I'm a recent adopter of DisplayFusion and the problem I have is that I'm running three screens (two external) off my laptop and my charger can't keep up. I'm using HDMI and VGA connectors (so DP doesn't take power) but I can't seem to keep up. This might not be a displayfusion issue at all but I do see display fusion having a 'High' power usage trend. Among applications it is the highest power user with my browser (with 16 tabs) coming up next in the 'Moderate' category and nothing else above low or very low.

I guess I should start to think that Microsoft is incorporating some of the benefits that DisplayFusion and 7TaskBar and OpenShell have introduced. For too long I've been underwhelmed by MS's UI attempts based on some strange focus-group-think.

The only solution I found was uninstalling DF and learning Windows 10's built-in dual-monitor taskbar, window snapping, and virtual desktops and all their respective keyboard shortcuts. The only feature I miss is pinning a window to always on top.

This continues to be a problem for me. DF uses more CPU than any other background task (3-6%) keeping my fan on my laptop running. I've commented in other threads about some constant cycles based on Process Explorer.

I might try to use something like BES to lower CPU but it seems like DF should not be hogging the cycles so much.

I have the same issue. DF Pro 9.7, Windows 10 Pro 2004 (19041). I only use DF for the superior multi-monitor taskbar. DF does not handle my wallpaper. Nothing. Taskbar only. Disabling the auto accent color seems to be the fix for another thread, but not I. It's disabled and DF is just ticking along at 3-6% cpu usage. This is annoying. I checked out the process threads and

clr.dll!LogHelp_LogAssert+0x6835

is constantly created and destroyed. What else can I try?

Disabling taskbars results in CPU usage in the 1.8-5% range with an average in the upper 2% area.

It's most likely due to the polling for the taskbars. If you disable the DisplayFusion taskbars, does that make any difference?

No issues, other than making the CPU and fan work harder (and therefore having less battery life)

Is DisplayFusion causing any issues, or are you just concerned that you see it using up to 10% sometimes in Task Manager?

It also appears that if I am connected to the 2 external monitors, I get the 6-8%, but if I undock and only use the laptop monitor, it goes down to 2-3% (which is still too high)

I am having the same issue using v9.7. It uses 5-7% CPU at idle. I have turned off Applications hooks, Wallpaper and set as low priority.

Any other tricks to try?

I think I found another cause. If you run chrome + displayfusion + avast at the same time, avast's cpu occupies 10% and displayfusion takes 10% and slows down. This happens when you press the title bar and drag the window. I deleted avast and now it's monitoring a little better. Still, displayfusion accounts for 10% of the CPU.

Currently I install displayfusion to set up the monitor, configure the monitor and then delete this program. I repeat this process every day.

It seems I've found a way to reproduce.
Turn on Windows Task Management -> click and drag the browser's title bar-> check cpu's share of displayfusion
Although the current three priorities for displayfusion are low, they soar to 5%.
I only want the dual monitor configuration, so all other features are off. I want to use only the dual monitor function!

attached the isolated CPU usage of just the DF-Process over around 10 mins while working mostly with browsers and outlook.

Did the folks still having high CPU usage after installing `DisplayFusionSetup-9.6-Beta1.exe` also set to `Run as a Low Priority Process` in Advanced settings? That was one other thing I did besides test the new Beta on my Ryzen 2700 setup that seemed to help.

I use a demo license key before purchasing this product. I am using ryzen 5 2600x and the memory is 32G but I installed this product and the system was very slow. I checked the computer's CPU and found that it occupies about 5-10%. This problem is so strange that I deleted the program and the system came back to normal.I installed the new beta version mentioned above, but it was a little better and I couldn't improve the problem. I have four monitors, and I'm considering buying a product because I want to create a profile that turns off one or two off, but I'm thinking about slowing down my system. Help.
