Is it not working that way for you?

is there any way to integrate, at least for WallpaperFusion, a option to automatically download the multi-monitor versions?

It is kinda confusing if you changed one of the filters to "Multi-Monitor/Triple-Monitor" and you still download only the single-monitor version. You then have to select "preview image" and manually download and activate the wallpaper.

I believe this could be made more easy in DisplayFusion ]]>
