The intention of monitor splitting is to allow applications to maximize to the splits, and have the DisplayFusion functions all run on the split monitors instead of the physical monitors. However, I specifically don't want to override them, I just want them to work as intended. If Windows really "sees" my monitor as two distinct monitors (virtual ones), it should also respect this when I use WIN + SHIFT combo, for example.

But I guess the virtual monitors created by the split is NOT respected by Windows, then? However, that leaves me to wonder what the purpose of the split/virtual monitor function is, then - makes it seem kind of pointless. You can set key combinations on the DisplayFusion functions on the Settings > Functions tab though. They're called "Move Window to Top-Left Corner..." etc

Using Windows 10 1909, and DisplayFusion 9.7 (Steam version).

I've got an ultrawide monitor 5120x1440, and what I'd like to do is to use Windows hotkeys (WIN/WIN-SHIFT + Cursor keys) to rearrange my windows. I've created a monitor profile that splits it down the middle, but the windows still behave as if it's one single monitor, and not two virtual ones. I could have sworn I'd read posts on here that advocate this method, but it's not working for me.

Just to be crystal clear, I'd for example like to be able to hit a hotkey combo, which then resizes the current window to 1/4 of the virtual monitor (= 1/8 of the physical monitor) and moves it to a corner of same.

Please halp? I'm open to creating my own custom hotkeys in DisplayFusion if necessary, but I'd much prefer this way if possible. ]]>
