This seems to be a non-ideal way to work around the issue rather than having the actual feature itself through Compatability, as it does have some complications. For example, if you start two programs simultaneously that both use this method to disable screensavers, once one of them closes, the screensaver will be active again even while the other one is still running. It's better than nothing in the meantime, but the actual feature itself would still be desired.

There is actually a way to do this now

In the latest beta version, you can use the Triggers feature to run the "Disable Screen Saver" function when an application window is created, and create another Trigger rule to run the "Enable Screen Saver" function when the application window is destroyed. More details on the Triggers feature can be found here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/working-with-triggers/?ID=43b31609-4ec6-4478-99f8-a1f11e9793f7

Hope that helps!

I've always wanted a feature to temporarily disable the screensaver whenever certain applications/programs are running under the "Compatibility" section of DisplayFusion (similar to how the option to disable wallpaper changes is there). Many video players have this feature built-in when playing videos so I'd imagine that it's not too hard to implement. There are certain programs that I'd want to disable screensaver activation for when they are open since they crash whenever the screensaver triggers, so I can't leave my computer idle with those programs running without having to manually turn off screensavers every time then turn it back on when I'm done using that program. The feature would just be useful for other things, too, like when you need to leave the computer idle but still want the display on.
I'm just surprised that such a seemingly basic feature hasn't been implemented this whole time.
