Awesome, thanks!

That's interesting about logging in first too. I've noticed with my laptop that Windows will either detect or not detect the built-in display depending on the order of how I do things when I connect up in the morning too.

If I connect up two monitors, power it on, then close the lid before it's booted to Windows, Windows will see 3 displays, with #1 being the built-in.

If I connect up two monitors, power it on, and wait until I hit the desktop, then close the lid, Windows only sees the two external displays, and not the built-in.

That definitely messes up my profiles because my profile is saved with 2 monitors only, so when it also detects the built-in, the IDs are shifted and the profile is no longer correct. I wonder if something similar is happening with your machine.

When you have an unsuccessful load, please attach a copy of the troubleshooting info for that and we'll go from there

OK, here goes. I had a successful load of the profile today- didn't even have to go in and manually load it, it just worked. I have been executing a specific process lately which I think works best for this: after bringing the laptop in to the office, I open it and log in before doing anything with the docking station- once Windows is running normally, I dock the laptop and it detects the hardware on it's own- DF has been good about loading the right profile when I do this, although I think this is the first time I've directly noticed that it loaded the profile without needing input from me.

Attaching the troubleshooting file now.

I'm not sure if this issue is unique to me, but I thought I'd bring it up. I'm running DisplayFusion Pro 9.1 (DF) on a Windows 7 laptop, and moving it from my work desk docking station to my home desk docking station regularly. I purchased the DF license because I wanted to be able to split my 4K TV at work, and I've also got an inexpensive 4K TV at home I'm using DF to split. The problem I've noticed since I started moving the laptop back and forth is that the splits I set up on one dock don't carry through to the next time I connect it there. I've configured the splits on my work station multiple times, as well as the home station. I don't see an option to save these splits, so I'm forced to reconfigure each time I move the laptop to the alternate docking station. This is going to become a major pain point- DF was intended to make my life easier, and having to re-do it every day (sometimes multiple times a day) is less-easy.

Opinions?

Personally I'd love to see a "save splits" button in DF; the presets are OK, but not perfect, and it'd really help me to be able to save my specific configuration for re-use, especially if I'm going to have to re-do it every time I dock the laptop at a new station. Alternately, I'd like to see DF "fingerprinting" each split config to the docking station, then remembering the config at that station later. That's a bigger lift than adding a "save split preset" button, I think.
