You can actually use a couple of the features in DisplayFusion to work around the desktop icons issue. Could you try the following?

Save the desktop icon layout for each monitor setup as a Desktop Icon Profile (use the Desktop Icons menu in the DisplayFusion tray icon right-click menu)

Save each monitor setup as a separate Monitor Profile in the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration feature

Click the Manage Monitor Profiles button on the Monitor Config window

Assign the Desktop Icon Profiles to the appropriate Monitor Profiles

After doing that, DisplayFusion should automatically move the desktop icons to the correct positions whenever it detects each monitor layout.

Hope that helps!

Okay, thanks Keith. That does help.

I have been using the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration feature to switch the #2 monitor to Primary and that works, to a point.

The problem I have with that is the desktop icons always get stuck on the #2 monitor when I switch back to the #1 monitor as Primary. And it stays that way. The Start/Task bar and Sidebar Gadgets revert back to the #1 monitor fine, but not the desktop icons. If I unplug the (HDMI) secondary monitor then the icons flip back to #1 (except their placement is now all screwed up) and everything's functionally back to normal... until I plug the #2 monitor back in whereupon all the desktop icons pop back over to the #2 monitor (though the #1 monitor is still Primary and still has the Start menu and Windows Gadgets.)

If I can get the desktop icons to behave (revert) properly then I would consider this problem resolved, just not ideal. If I can't at least get the icons to move back and forth between monitors properly while maintaining their original placement... then I'm afraid I've bought a program that doesn't fulfill my needs (forcing games off the little laptop screen onto the big wall screen) :/

Any thoughts on the icon issue?

Your best option if the game doesn't have a windowed mode, is to change the primary monitor (using either the Windows Screen Resolution settings, or the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration feature) to the monitor that you want the game to run on.
Hope that helps!

Mirror's Edge (Unreal Engine 3), Win7 x64, DF v4.3 Pro & Beta 5

If I force the EXE to start up on my secondary monitor via "Window Location" it properly throws the games splash screen up, but when it goes to its "Loading/Intro" screen (and subsequent) it flips back to my primary monitor and cannot be moved.

The game does not have "windowed" or "borderless window" options. I can Alt-Tab out of the game, which minimizes it, but I cannot Alt-Enter to make it windowed.

Is there a way to force all windows generated by an application to stick to a particular monitor?
