That is an option. However I really should have dug through the the function settings and looked at the custom functions before asking this, what i wanted was there all along, i just had to choose the right options for them. I do appreciate the help though.

Quote:
I would also like something like this. Even better, the ability to specify just the upper left corner for the destination and have DF move the window there while maintaining the window's current size.

Sandmann, for that in specific example, do the following in DisplayFusion settings:

-open functions
-at the top click on Custom Function, and in the drop down click Add custom function
-in the new custom function menu assign the function a name of your choice and then a key combination
-next set the following options:
--Function Action: Manage Window
--Windows screen action: Keep on same monitor
--Window alignment: Move window to Top-Left corner of monitor
--Window width change: Don't change window width
--Window Height Change: Don't change window height

Hope that helps you out, but i would recommend looking through the options to see what else you can do.

I would also like something like this. Even better, the ability to specify just the upper left corner for the destination and have DF move the window there while maintaining the window's current size.

Quite a number of programs dynamically adjust the size of the window based upon its content so forcing the window to a certain size is awkward at best. Video editing programs (non-maximized) are a common example (e.g., Avidemux).

Specifying position and size can also cause headaches for child windows that are smaller than the parent window; DF will attempt to force the child window to the parent window size and the child window will switch back and forth between the two sizes (especially notification pop-ups). (And specifying separate triggers for every possible child window would be a mess.)

Other times there can be a conflict between the window size settings within the target program, and using DF to position the window at a specific location/size. It can get a little ugly if they don't match up.

The only workaround to this is to use the "center window" option. It's not ideal but at least it allows you to distribute windows across monitors.

Apologies, but I'm using Windows 7, so that keyboard shortcut isnt implemented for me. I'm also not looking to disable the snap feature of windows, im looking to see if there's a way to use one of the functions for DisplayFusion to move a window into any of the corners of a monitor without also changing it's size.

ie: "Move Window to Bottom-Right Corner and Size 50%" but without the "and size 50%" because id like to maintain the current dimensions of the window i want to move.
