Unfortunately it looks like Hangouts does weird stuff with the window positioning. The Window Location rule only triggers when the window is created, so when the plugin moves itself back to the primary monitor, it doesn't trigger the rule again

DisplayFusion doesn't have a feature that can permanently constrain an application to a specific monitor, but I'll definitely add it to our list for future consideration.

Thanks!

Ok, so hangouts mostly stays on my second display now. This was my first reboot after installing displayfusion.

When I first open the hangout plugin, it now stays on my secondary display, as desired. If I minimize the plugin it minimizes to my primary display. On restore it stays on my primary display. The same thing happens with individual chat windows.

When I double click on a friend to open a new chat (even if hangouts is on my primary display) the chat opens on my secondary display.

So, at the moment, I have chat windows on my secondary display most of the time, which is pretty much what I wanted. YAY

If there's anything I can do to keep hangouts on my secondary display all the time, please let me know. Thanks for making this awesome software.

Hello! I bought displayfusion today to fix two things that are bugging me: not having a clock on my second taskbar (fixed! YAY) and keeping the chrome google hangouts windows on my second monitor (not working. ;_.

I'm *pretty* sure the google hangouts plugin is this guy: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Google Talk Plugin\googletalkplugin.exe.

I've added chrome.exe and googletalkplugin.exe Window Location rules to keep everything on my secondary display (which happens to be display 1, if that matters). I've closed all chrome and hangout windows and killed chrome running in the background.

Every time I click on the hangouts button in chrome, the hangouts plugin slides over to my primary display, mocking me.

I tried searching your forums for hangout, hangouts, talk, google talk, google hangout but I couldn't find anything that seemed relevant.

I've tried running googletalkplugin.exe directly (without chrome open) but nothing seems to happen other than the task running.

I'm going to reboot and see what happens.

If that doesn't work, what might I try next?

Thanks!
