Maybe. Arriving at work I discussed this with a friend. We tried it on his laptop (single screen) and it played every video we threw at it. I then hooked up a 2nd monitor HDMI and now with 1 or 2 monitors, no more video wallpaper. I even uninstalled it, searched and deleted any registry keys, appdata, etc, rebooted, reinstalled, and guess what - a very nicely rendered perfectly black screen appears. When it was working you could notice a delay as it buffered the video, now absolutely nothing happens. We watched the open file handles and DisplayFusion will not even touch any of the videos and we tried several folders, all with "everyone" having full permissions.

I know this has been discussed already, but I have to express my extreme disappointment in this product. The Video Wallpaper feature was the primary function I needed. Without this, it was money down the drain. There are enough posts about VW not working, that I have no doubt it was never anything except vapor-ware. Binary Fortress needs to remove any references to supporting VW immediately and keep it down until they fix the problem (which they probably have no interest in doing). It is a shame when a quality, reasonably priced software such as this can not do as good of a job as free open-source solutions, even though they typically require some tech skills. Read the forums and you will see there are still numerous error reports & problems with new Windows 10 builds, all of which are answered by (paraphrase) "Yes, we know and are actively working to determine the problem" which translates into English as "We know, we don't care, our programming skills are out-of-date and can no longer keep up with new OS releases, and last but not least, please keep sending us money." This cruddy software doesn't even display an error about the VW not working, it just shows a black screen and apparently thinks it's working fine. I transcoded a 1 minute video using 12 codecs, each in 4 resolutions, and (almost) none will play. The one that did play ran for 5 seconds, rebooted my computer and never worked again. I mean come on, the software doesn't even act like it's doing anything with VW like the buttons are there but there is no underlying code - it's just for appearance.

For those interested, "Video Wallpaper" and "Video Screensaver" on XDAForums, DualMonitorTools by GNE, WindowManager by DeskSoft, and "Icon Layout Saver" will do 95% of what DisplayFusion does and costs exactly zero dollars. And while DisplayFusion hasn't had a useful upgrade in eons, these other softwares continue to regurally publish updates to maintain compatibility with new OS versions and fix bugs/add features. Add Synergy and SpaceDesk and you are well beyond what DisplayFusion will ever be able to provide. Believe it or not there are some software developers out there that do care what their users are saying and respond best they can to their wishes. Then there are other devolopers out there (AHEM) that do not care about their users and will publish any junky software they can hoping at least a few naive users will purchase their software to do something you already can for free.

If anyone out there knows a reliable way to make it work, please let us know. I am not the only one complaining that the VW does not function. And in reading, it is completely hit or miss for the 2 users it does work for and they are probably still running Windows XP.
