Here's how to set it up:

• On the DisplayFusion Settings > Functions tab, click the "Download Scripted" button
• Double-click the script named "Maximize the Window Under the Mouse Cursor"
• Give it a key combination and click OK
• Optionally, select it, click "Toggle TitleBar Button" (to add it to the caption bar of every application)
• Click Apply and test it out

We've also added a "Bring the Window Under the Mouse Cursor to the Front" that does the same thing but without maximizing the window. This is good for windows that are partially behind another window.

I have 4 monitors (2x2) with Eyefinity. I usually have about 30 open windows on my desktop (I'm a trader) and I use quite a complicated DF split layout. It's crucial for me to have a possibility of instantaneous maximizing/restoring any window with minimum manipulations.

In fact I use a Logitech Anywhere mouse with two additional buttons, and I use one of those buttons to maximize/restore active windows. It's very convenient for me.

Is it possible to add to DF a feature to maximize an inactive window under the mouse cursor and move focus to it in one click? For example, it might be done by pressing the window maximize button while pressing the Ctrl modifier key on the keyboard. I hope it will also work with a special mouse button like that on my Logitech Anywhere mouse.

Update: I'm sorry, just checked and found that a window maximize button works even on inactive windows. As a matter of fact, I never use the maximize button because it's hard to position the mouse cursor on it quickly. I always use my special mouse button to maximize a window, but it only works for active windows. ]]>
