Fences shouldn't be affecting that, I wouldn't think. Is one of your monitors a DisplayPort monitor, or an HDMI TV?
Sorry for delay, both are monitors but one is connected by HDM and one via Displayport

In the last couple of weeks I've noticed that when the computer awakes from sleep, the wallapers on my two monitors have disappeared. If I go into the monitor settings the settings appear to have lost the pictures and I have to select the pictures.

The only thing that has changed in the last couple of weeks is that I have upgraded Stardock Fences program from version 2 to version 3

I presume there are other DisplayFusion user who also use Fences and so I wonder whether they have had the same problem.
