I switched back from Avast to plain ol' Windows Defender earlier today and noticed things like resizing windows and moving windows being incredibly sluggish and Defender's CPU usage spiking a bit. What I then noticed was that it only happened with DisplayFusion on. I found a forum post about disabling application hooks in DF which I did, and the problem stopped.

I had this problem a while back last time I switched to Defender, but I thought it was Defender causing it so I just switched back to Avast. This means it isn't just the version of DF I'm using (9.3). I'm pretty sure it happened while I was using 8.X too.

What I'm wondering is why this happened in the first place, and how to resolve this issue as without the application hooks my multi monitor taskbars are a bit slow and some things don't work as well. I've added DF's Program Files folder to Defender's exclusions, no dice. I'm not sure what could be causing this to happen or how to proceed.

Here's a short video showing what I'm talking about:
https://youtu.be/kr_84jikB7E
Specs:
GTX 1080
Windows 10 Pro
2x 1080p 60hz monitors
