I can actually reproduce this here now as well, under two circumstances:
  • When minimizing an application that has a lot of separate windows that minimize all at once (like madlyfe's NinjaTrader app)
  • When switching virtual desktops in Win 10, or using Dexpot

When using CTRL-Win-Arrow to move to the next virtual desktop I get ghosting of titlebar buttons exactly as described in the thread.

I'm experiencing the same problem on my computer. Actually, the title bar ghosting problem has been around for at least a couple years. The icons remain on screen for about 10 to 20 seconds, as madlyfe mentioned. When many applications are open, after a while the ghosting happens. So, it seems like there's a delay in updating the screen before the title bar icons move to the window or dialog box where they are supposed to appear.

I wonder whether the graphics driver might be the reason? Anyway, here are my computer specs. Not sure if they will be of help or give a clue. I'd like to know if this problem occurs on newer computers, as well.

My computer is an old DELL Precision 390 that dates to around 2006 (yeah, that old). The graphics card is NVIDIA.
