But I was just going to let everyone know that if you're having an issue getting the start orb to change on your other monitor(s), as mentioned above the http://www.door2windows.com/windows-7-start-button-changer-change-your-windows-7-start-button-with-one-click/ does in fact work.

You have to click on the arrow in the bottom right corner of the dialog and select "Replace by Editing Resources"
Then do a restart. Choosing the "Replace by Patching Memory" just doesn't work for multiple monitors it seems.
As for the positioning, are you using small icons on the taskbar? The positioning looks pretty close with regular (large icons), but when I change the Windows taskbar to small icons, then the Start button vertical positioning is broken on the DisplayFusion taskbar.

Are you using default settings and patching memory? I had actually used that tool with poor results previously but will try again and post an update.

-----------------------
I was unable to get the tool to work without going to advance settings and having it edit resources, but after a displayfusion restart it shows up again with the same results I had previously.

After messing around with this a bit the main thing I'm seeing is that all the windows 8 orbs are touching the bottom of the taskbar naturally and it seems as though the orb is being anchored at the bottom of the image on displayfusion so the problem isn't showing up (or is very very minor) with those orbs. The smaller orbs that have a larger transparency all end up touching the bottom of the displayfusion taskbar instead of some sort of exact offset that windows seems to use with the image (it doesn't seem to find just the orbs and center them vertically) and show the problem much more. So maybe the win8 orbs were the wrong examples to use after all to troubleshoot the problematic ones. A lot of this is just a guess though.

I also wanted to thank you again for looking at this as I'm sure it isn't exactly super high on your priority list.

I understand the difficulty. I actually tend to use Restorator to replace resources 6801, 6805, and 6809 in explorer manually. I believe these are the resources most programs replace, though there is at least one common program that patches the orb in memory which clearly will not work with displayfusion.

It seems to be pretty standard to have to package an orb with different offsets for small/large taskbars and/or depending if the taskbar is at the top or bottom of the screen, and the resources explorer uses seems to be different depending on taskbar location, however there must be an expected area for explorer to grab from and it seems that for full support you may have to figure out just which resource it's using in each case. Attached is a zip full of random orbs, with some of the best examples being the Win8 orbs and their specific individual resources as opposed to the more common catch all image.

Also attached is the orb I in the screenshot I linked, the colors/transparency does actually seem to be a bit off now that I compare them on a flat background.

First of all, thanks for the great software and for fixing the taskbar with custom visual styles. I wanted to point out an inconsistency that I can't seem to fix when using a custom start orb. I've tried with several different orbs, and it seems that on the second taskbar, the orb seems to be off center, too close to the bottom of the screen. This happens with the larger taskbar too, but seems to be off by less.

I've attached an image showing this, please excuse the color differences as it's caused by having a different background on each screen.
