It's absolute garbage. Sorry! First, it doesn't work with .gif files. Second, it is a massive resource hog. Third, has a horrible and buggy interface. Finally, it is extremely limited in what it can do. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone - even your enemies! Oh yeah, and it requires you to install 2 other add-on bloatware programs, and the "free" trial will only work AFTER you confirm an email address so they can spam you.

It's very strange that a simple program doesnt exist that allows users to embed .gifs or video files into their desktop backgrounds. I cant speak for Display fusion, however If you are intent on getting an animated wallpaper, there are 2 alternatives that come to mind:

Deskscapes: Designed basically to do exactly what you want; but cost 10$ (it does have a free trial though)

Rainmeter:
extremely versatile, and powerful program, capable of many functions (including running animations on your desktop). The only downside is it can be a bit complicated and overwhelming to get properly working.
