Howdy,

I've just moved to using DisplayFusion from the obvious alternative and I'm having some difficulty adjusting to the themed taskbar for Windows 7.

I understand that the aero-style taskbar is scheduled for a future release and that isn't what I'm talking about, my issue is best illustrated by a visual comparison. In the following image, the top bar is a screenshot of the Windows Vista taskbar in a virtual machine (i.e. no aero) and the bottom one is the DisplayFusion bar attempting to match the visual style of Windows 7 (apologies for imageshack).

http://img22.imageshack.us/my.php?image=displayfusionwin7vsvist.png

In both cases Firefox is the selected task, yet both use the opposite style. In Windows Vista, the selected application's button is depressed and darkened, while in DisplayFusion on Windows 7 the deselected application's button is depressed. Also, in DisplayFusion the selected button appears to have lowered the text by one pixel while the button's highlight pop-out effect tries to imply the button has been raised.

I should point out that disabling the visual style matching switches to a style that better matches Vista's appearance (though obviously different size/colour buttons and grey bar), which I think I will revert to using for now. If the full Aero support is going to take some time however, as a brief perusal of this forum seems to indicate, altering the theme to match Windows Vista's functionality in the meantime may be worthwhile
