You can sleep the monitors by creating a Scripted Function (Settings > Functions tab) with just this line in the main section of the script: BFS.General.SleepMonitors();

If you run into the same issue as with the other apps, then it's likely that something else is preventing the monitors from sleeping.

We don't have an SLI setup to test with here, but in theory our Monitor Profiles should work correctly. You'd want to turn on SLI, configure them all manually, then save that as a Monitor Profile. Then try switching to Surround, back to SLI, and try loading the Monitor Profile again. You would definitely need to manually enable SLI first, before attempting to load the Monitor Profile.

For the desktop icons, you can save their positions as a Desktop Icon Profile, and then assign that to the Monitor Profile. When the Monitor Profile is loaded, it will load the Desktop Icon Profile as well.

DisplayFusion has a proper Monitor Fading feature in the settings window now, but it doesn't have the option to fade only specific monitors at the moment. I only didn't really purchase it before because I been using UltraMon for many years, and it does for the most part what I need. With that said, I had a few specific use cases UltraMon doesn't do, and hasn't been updated in a while, so decided to use both UltraMon and DisplayFusion, although most likely I could simply use DisplayFusion, we'll see overall. There some interface things I enjoy using in UltraMon.

Also Kudos to Keith Lammers, you are the reason I made the purchase, because in searching google for some of my goals, you had good explanations. There a few threads that I think are getting close to what I want to do, but noneless I figured its easier to make my list here. So Thanks Keith, seems you are very active, and that brings customers. It certainly affected my decision to purchase.

OK! With that lengthy intro, here's my goals!

1) Shut off all my Monitors. I have 6 monitors active at all times, I have used several programs that send the shut off command to my monitors, but they just come right back into place. I'd imagine perhaps its another application thats causing that behavior, but right now, my monitors will not go into stand by. They turn off for a millisecond and turn right back on.

2) Have good stable profiles. Because I have SLI in 2x 1080 GTX's. To have all my monitors active, I have to use SPAN, if I turn on SLI for performance, some monitors shut down, and unfortunately, going through those motions is a timely, and sometimes buggy ordeal, at least with UltraMon. I haven't tried with DisplayFusion, but will do soon. My other issue is I have over 800 icons in my desktop. So all hell breaks loose sometimes, with the switching. So normally I avoid using SLI, so I can have all my monitors.

3) Which leads me to another problem. I been doing some design work, and have to do renders, and keep my computer on. Unfortunately its in my room, so its not very pleasent to have 6 monitors on. Hence #1 on shutting them off, but I would also like to be able to fade them at night. If its very late, I normally end up using 2 of the 6 monitors, so I would like I believe has to be a custom script. To fade 4 of the monitors, and keep my primary and one specific monitor on or partially faded, while shutting down, or completely blanking/fading the others. Need to figure out how to do that. I saw the script for fading a monitor one by one, but I want to do multiple fades at once, and then bring it back.

For Icon arrangement, I love desktopOK, been also using it for years, not sure how DIsplayFusion's icon arrangement works. But maybe its time to consolidate UltraMon, etc and the other tools I use, since DisplayFusion seems to be fully featured, so some testing will occur.

Anyhow those are my goals, and looking forward to working with you guys to make them happen, and hopefully helping anyone else that may need something similar.
