Unfortunately the DisplayFusion taskbar doesn't currently support the click and drag up to open the jump lists, but the issue you're running into might be caused by the button overlay, because DF thinks you're trying to re-order the buttons. If you set the "Taskbar: Button Dragging Icons" option in the Settings > Advanced Settings window to "Button dragging icons are not shown," does that stop the temporary hang?
