I've moved this to a new thread. There are many different things that can result in high CPU, so trying to keep them separate as much as possible.<br/>

When your Windows Defender scan is running, is the CPU pretty much maxed out?<br/>
<br/>
Also, are you looking at the CPU usage on the Processes tab or the Details tab in Windows Task Manager?<br/>
